Helen Hancock & Ceri Ashe
Ending the stigma of bipolar
2:30 – 3:10pm
Summary
Breaking down the stigma of bipolar takes better understanding, timely diagnosis and an holistic approach to treatment and self-management. Our seminar will explore ways to challenge the stigma and self-stigma of bipolar in the workplace, relationships and the healthcare system. We’ll also take a closer look at our own attitudes and prejudices towards mental health and serious mental illnesses.
Ceri will talk about her personal experience of bipolar and stigma through the lens of her play ‘Bipolar Me’.
