Summary

Mind Cymru’s Sort the Switch campaign was launched in May 2022 and is truly youth led. It seeks to improve the experiences of young people moving from Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult Mental Health Services, and was initiated, informed and designed by young people, who continue to be at the heart of this campaign.

This seminar, co-facilitated with young people, will inspire others through the power of youth voice and adopting a children’s rights approach.

About the Speaker

Nia manages Mind Cymru’s policy and campaigning work with and for young people. Born and brought up in the Cynon Valley, Nia’s career in the children’s sector includes roles with Welsh Government, NSPCC Cymru|Wales and the Office for the Children’s Commissioner for Wales. Nia’s focus is predominantly on national policy as it relates to children and young people’s mental health.
